Rampall is an Attorney-at-Law at SC Legal, where she advises and represents clients on a broad range of commercial and civil matters. Her practice focuses primarily on commercial litigation, dispute resolution, and advisory work in corporate and employment law, as well as domestic and international arbitration.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Prior to joining SC Legal, Yeshnah served as Assistant Legal Counsel at the Permanent Court of Arbitration in its Mauritius office. In that capacity, she assisted the Secretary-General and the International Bureau on matters arising under the Court&#8217;s appointing authority functions and supported arbitration proceedings involving states, state entities, international organisations, and private parties. Her work included legal research, drafting, and assisting arbitral tribunals in proceedings conducted under various international arbitration frameworks.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Yeshnah holds an LL.M. in International Business Law with Distinction from Middlesex University, where she also completed her LL.B. (Hons). During her postgraduate studies, she received the Outstanding Student Award for her LL.M. programme. Her dissertation on arbitral autonomy and the determination of applicable law was published in the Harvard Negotiation Law Review. She subsequently completed the Law Practitioners&#8217; Vocational Course and was called to the Mauritian Bar.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Her professional experience spans litigation, arbitration, and corporate advisory work. She has assisted in complex due diligence exercises, commercial disputes, and arbitration-related court proceedings, including applications for the appointment of arbitrators and interim measures. Yeshnah also advises on corporate governance, company secretarial matters, and regulatory compliance, including AML/CFT obligations under Mauritian law.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">In addition to her legal practice, Yeshnah is actively involved in public and community service. She currently serves as a board member of the Financial Services Institute Ltd and as a council member of the National Youth Environment Council under the aegis of the Ministry of Environment, Solid Waste Management and Climate Change.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Yeshnah is trained in both civil and common law traditions and has a particular interest in international arbitration and cross-border dispute resolution.</p>

<h5>Qualifications</h5>
<p>Imteaz read law in London and Toulouse was called to the bar at the Middle Temple in July 2000. He was in private practice at the chambers of Sir Hamid Moollan, QC.</p>
<p>Throughout his practice Imteaz has appeared regularly as counsel before the Courts, Commissions and other specialised Tribunals. His practice encompassed both the criminal and civil fields, with a strong prevalence on civil and commercial litigation at all levels.</p>
<p>Besides litigation, Imteaz has also been instructed as junior counsel in domestic and international arbitration.</p>
<p>In March 2012, he left private practice to take up employment as Senior Vice President, Head of Legal &amp; Compliance of Century Banking Corporation, the only Islamic bank in Mauritius. As Head of Legal, Imteaz had overall responsibility for all legal affairs of the bank, including the drafting and review of agreements, interaction with the Central Bank and reporting to the Board.</p>
<p>In November 2013, he moved to the Global Business sector as Head of Legal of a management company acting as administrator to a number of private equity funds with outbound investments into real estate in India. Throughout his time in Global Business, Imteaz has worked on due diligence exercises, drafted and reviewed a number of fund constitutional documents, loan facility agreements, security agreements, shareholders and share purchase agreements, amongst others. He has interacted extensively with law firms and legal advisers in the US, UK and India on a significant number of issues relating to investor relationship, fund administration and reporting.</p>
<p>Imteaz has since July 2017, resumed practice at the bar focusing on transactional, advisory and tax assignments. He has assisted a large UK based entity on restructuring its investments and is putting in place the share purchase and subscription agreements. He is regularly instructed by one of the most significant conglomerates in oil and gas in Mauritius on its tax disputes and acts as legal adviser to a large bookmaking business in Mauritius.</p>

<p>She has appeared before most courts and tribunals in Mauritius and also the Privy Council and is particularly well regarded with real estate litigation, commercial and corporate matters, and civil cases. She practises in areas of the law such as civil, corporate, tax, structured financing, financial services, securities, family, real estate, insurance, insolvency, labour, trust, arbitration, administrative, compliance, intellectual property, technology and environmental. She assists clients before the regulatory and investigating bodies. She works for clients in diverse sectors such as energy, real estate, distribution and manufacturing, telecommunications, financial institutions and construction.</p>
<p>Shaheena is hugely experienced in the global business framework and advises on all corporate matters in the global business sector. She acts as legal adviser to a number of Mauritius domiciled funds investing in India, Asia and Africa and licensed entities on their investments, using companies, limited partnerships, protected cell companies, trusts and foundations. She has a formidable command of the legal aspects of structuring, negotiation and drafting of the relevant agreements. She assists clients in listings, amalgamations, share dealings and offerings on and off the market and migration from and to Mauritius. She also effects compliance audits. She has advised on various finance and credit instruments, such as loans, debentures, bonds and all forms of securities. She also advises trustees and settlors on trusts and related matters including migration of trusts.</p>
<p>Shaheena has developed a keen interest in technology law and is building on her expertise in virtual assets, blockchains, tokenisation and application of ESG principles and climate change policies to businesses and believes in the net-zero challenge .</p>
<p>Shaheena also is an independent director on the board of a number of companies in Mauritius and believes that businesses cannot succeed unless its board is composed of sustainability-savvy directors.</p>
<h5>Qualifications</h5>
<p>Shaheena was a State of Mauritius Laureate in 1995 (Economics Side) and then obtained her LLB with Second Class Honours First Division from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia, in 2000, where she achieved High Distinction in Banking law, Law of the Internet, Taxation law, Torts, Economics, Evidence, and Administrative law. She was awarded Arthur Andersen Prize for Taxation for best results in Taxation Law. She then did the Bar Vocational Course at Council of Legal Education, Mauritius, where she was ranked first and recipient of the Professor Fernand Bouland Cup (Best results in criminal law) and Professor Raymond Hein Memorial Prize. She was awarded a distinction in all subjects.</p>
<h5>Boards and Association</h5>
<p>Shaheena was the Chairperson of the National Savings Fund Technical Committee, set up under the National Savings Fund Act. She is a former board member of Capital Asset Management Ltd, a subsidiary of the State Investment Corporation, the investment arm of the Government of Mauritius. She is a former member of the Information and Communication Technology Council, a former director of the National Housing and Development Corporation Ltd, and currently the Vice President of the Muslim Family Council. She acts as a board member of a few Global Business Companies.</p>
