Prior to her current role, Yeshnah gained significant institutional experience in international dispute resolution as Assistant Legal Counsel at the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) in Mauritius, where she supported arbitral tribunals in proceedings involving states, international organizations, and private entities.
She is trained in both civil and common law traditions and has a particular interest in international arbitration and cross-border dispute resolution.
Qualifications
- LL.M. in International Business Law (Distinction): Middlesex University. Recipient of the Outstanding Student Award. Published dissertation on arbitral autonomy in the Harvard Negotiation Law Review.
- LL.B. (Hons): Middlesex University.
- Law Practitioners’ Vocational Course: Completed and subsequently called to the Mauritian Bar as an Attorney-at-Law.
- Assistant Legal Counsel (Former): Permanent Court of Arbitration (Mauritius Office). Assisted the PCA Secretary-General on appointing authority functions and international arbitral tribunals.
